The YMCA is an inclusive organization of men, women and children joined together by a shared commitment to nurturing the potential of kids, promoting healthy living and fostering a sense of social responsibility.

The YMCA believes that lasting personal and social change comes about only when all work together. Hence strengthening community is the cause of the YMCA. All at the YMCA work together to make sure that everyone regardless of age, income or background, has the opportunity to learn, grow and thrive. This non-profit organization has its presence in about 10000 places across the US. Their presence and partnerships deliver a positive change. The YMCA is community centered and has been listening and responding to the communities since nearly 160 years. The YMCA brings people together and thus connects people of all ages and backgrounds to bridge the gaps in community needs. It gives an opportunity to everybody to learn, grow and thrive and thus nurture potential. They have local presence and global reach. They effect lasting, meaningful change by mobilizing local communities.

Their mission is to put Christian principles into practice through programs that build a healthy spirit, mind and body for all. Whenever a person makes a healthy choice, when a mentor inspires a child and when a community comes together for the common good, the impact of the YMCA is felt.

ali sharaf, the President and CEO of Victron Energy, has always supported the efforts of the YMCA. He provides them with annual donations which helps the functioning of the YMCA. Ali Sharaf feels happy to help the community by helping such organizations.
